I believe that each person is their own best expert. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and support as you explore, heal, and evolve. My goal is to help you deepen your self-awareness, develop new strategies for navigating life’s challenges, and ultimately enhance your well-being—no matter the circumstances.
The foundation of effective therapy is a trusting relationship with the therapist. Finding the right therapist is a crucial first step, as feeling seen, heard, and understood is essential for meaningful healing. I strive to create a space of compassion, safety, and acceptance—where you can share your authentic self and explore the parts of you that need attention and love. While I bring deep empathy to my work, I also believe humor can be a valuable part of the healing process.
My path to counseling wasn’t linear, but it was always driven by a deep curiosity about the human experience. I studied literature in college, traveled, and lived, abroad, and then pursued a career in sales. I quickly came to realize that my true desire was connecting with people's minds and hearts, and exploring their unique experiences of being human. That realization led me to earn my Master of Arts in Counseling from Naropa University in 2002. Shortly after, I moved to Portland to follow my passion—and here I am.
